AID has been operating within the UK for the best part of the decade, with an office in Birmingham. The primary objective is to gain the interest and support of the UK Asian community of development work in India, Whilst at the same time creating overall awareness of the issues affecting other poor countries around the world.
An underlying theme is to encourage links and exchanges between Asian communities in the UK and the Indian Sub-Continent, with a focus on young people. young people today are tomorrow's global citizens, and this is reflected in our work in youth groups and schools around the midlands region.
