What is CSC ?
  • Common Service Centre (CSC) is a community/citizen rural service centre at panchayat level covering about 5-10 villages.
  • CSC at each panchayat will cater to the needs of all villages and tolas.
  • Each CSC will have computer and digital facilities. It will have both offline and online operations.
  • It will be equipped with computer, printer, digital camera and networking facilities.
  • Initially it will provide the below mentioned services either offline (without being connected to internet facilities) or will be linked with the private /public internet facilities available in the region.
  • Networking all the 600 CSCs for video conferencing, web service, web radio, documentation as per the local needs and requirement.CSC centre will be hooked to these facilities once the main network of the government connects the State Headquarters with all the districts, blocks and panchayats in the region through the internet. The e-governance services would then provide the ultimate services in the region.
 
Geographical Area of Coverage

Palamau  zone  comprising three  districts  Palamau,  Garhwa and Latehar in the state of  Jharkhand .

  • 600 panchayats
  • 3000 villages
  • 3 million population.
