Forest protection, promotion and revival of sacred sites system for sustainable environment.
Under this key strategy, the following results are planned to be achieved.

Revival of Sarna system (Sacred groves) of community protection of forests.
Reclamation of 600 hectares of degraded land and new forest created in 100 hectares in year 1, 200 hectares in year 2 and 300 hectares in year 3
Continuous action by villagers and organizations for demanding services from the government and recognition of their system and contribution
Increased (at least 25%) use of government services and programmes.
Creating tree plantation drives and continued community based protection of planted saplings and enforcing social control from grazing the tender plants
800 Hectares of forest protected (300 in year 1, 400 in year 500 in year 3) through community forums
Create a community inbuilt system and self-management practices for the protection of available forests and community management of forests
