The information centres are making a data base of people affected  in the respective village of their function and on the basis of which people are enabled to redeem themselves by using multiple sector's support and assistance.

Creating long term community systems and enabling links

Promoting local NGO's, panchayat leaders, women leaders, youth leaders and CBO's will be  utilised for creating long term community systems, so that the local village communities will be able to carry forward the task of community re-building in self-sustaining manner.

 Accountability and Participation through Equality

Responsibilities for specific communities including Dalits should be assigned to assure both accountability and participation of community as a whole and ensure  that all affected people are given appropriate care.  AID community volunteers go to  live with them and let live those affected in the marginalised sectors of the sea shore community.

Plan and implement measure for immediate relief and long term sustainable for rehabilitation of  survivors

To strengthen the communities at the seashore of Tamilnadu to prevent worse effects of natural phenomenon like tsunami the people  need to be educated in multi perspective way for coping up with the aftermath of the present tsunami. The AID Information Centres are on the way to evolve such a plan and implement measures for not only immediate relief,  but for long term sustainable survival for survivors as well.

Ensure that the human rights of vulnerable people, women and children are protected

It is essential to keep the track of record of human rights affairs in the marginalised communities after witnessing massive scale  discrimination done to Dalits. This necessitates to make clear the avenues yet  to be opened and going deep for realising true democracy and true participation. The AID Information Centres are aimed at ensuring democratic relief to such marginalised people by providing them the necessary  social knowledge for coping up with such disasters through the existing social strata.
